Ellen is a graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway with a MSc in Coastal & Marine Environments: Physical Processes, Policy & Practice and a BA in English & Geography.

Ellen is a graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway with a BA in English and Geography (2014) and a MSc in Coastal & Marine Environments: Physical Processes, Policy & Practice (2015).
Ellen joined UCC in 2016 as research assistant within the Marine Governance group in MaREI. Ellen has been working on research subjects including maritime spatial planning, aquaculture and climate change adaptation. Previous to joining UCC, Ellen worked with The Commissioners of Irish Lights, developing a guide on the General Lighthouse’s involvement with maritime spatial planning including issues associated with navigational safety, coastal tourism and aquaculture site planning.
