Overview

Aoife is the Doctoral Training Coordinator for MaREI and Programme Manager for the ERBE (Energy Resilience in the Built Environment) Centre for Doctoral Training. She is responsible for the recruitment, coordination and ongoing personal and professional development of PhD Students focusing on the holistic student experience. A graduate of Law in UCC, she has most recently worked in the area of Learning & Development.

Current Activities

Aoife manages all aspect of the PhD programme working with incoming students as they transition into their PhD, supporting early and mid-stage PhD students as they navigate their PhD studentship and engaging with the PhD cohort on an ongoing basis on the development of their personal and professional skills. She also manages the ERBE CDT, a centre for doctoral training with partners in UCL & Loughborough University, UK.

Background

Aoife is a native of County Waterford and has worked in Cork for a number of years. A law graduate, she has most recently worked in learning and development and strongly believes in the power of ongoing personal and professional development and nurturing a strong network.
