As part of the PhD, Fiac’s area of research concentrates on European electricity markets and specifically on the effects that renewable generation is having, and will have, on their ability to remain ‘fit for purpose’ in a time when many are not.
Fiac is a PhD fellow at University College Cork. He has a Master of Science Degree in Sustainable Energy Planning & Management from Aalborg University, Denmark and an undergraduate degree in Energy & Environmental Engineering from ITT Dublin. Before starting in UCC, Fiac worked for the Irish Energy Agency (SEAI) as a Power System Analyst for two years and then Bord na Móna as a Regulatory & Market Analyst for almost a year.”
