PhD Student
Postgraduate Student
University of Galway Energy Transition Advanced Fuels in the Circular Economy

Shun’s project investigates Technology Readiness Level (TRL) advances in Anaerobic Digestion (AD)

  • development of cost-effective and efficient wastewater treatment technologies
  • recovery of organic waste and biomass for use as a sustainable and clean energy source and for building a green agriculture industry

Shun graduated from Hefei University of Technology, China in 2017 with a Master degree in Civil Engineering and is now studying in the National University of Ireland, Galway as a Structured PhD student.

In the past 3 years (2014-2017), he was mainly focused on the treatment of industrial phenolic wastewater using different technologies (advanced oxidation, anaerobic membrane bioreactor), and membrane fouling control during the AnMBR process.
