Benteng Wu Wins China Scholarship for ‘Outstanding Self-Financed International Students’

Congratulations to Benteng Wu who has been awarded (one of only 5 in Ireland) a China Scholarship for Outstanding Self-financed International Students.

The China Scholarship for Outstanding Self-financed International Students is awarded annually to Chinese students who are doing a PhD overseas and not funded by the government. This scholarship is established to encourage and commend oversea students for their achievements during their doctoral studies. The candidate shall be made by the Academic Board on the recommendation of the Chinese Embassy in the country. The total amount of the scholarship is $6,000 and the total number of places worldwide is 600. This year 5 students in total have been awarded this scholarship in Ireland.
