EIMR2022 is to be held 4-6 October 2022 as a virtual meeting

The International Conference on the Environmental Interactions of Marine Renewables (EIMR) is a major forum for researchers and professionals to come together to present their latest research, results, and ideas. EIMR aims to strengthen relationships between the emerging marine renewable energy industry, research centres, universities, government agencies and other stakeholders.

EIMR2022 will continue to focus on emerging research in these areas, as well as new and emerging topics such as; engineering considerations for environmental interactions, social licence to operate, data transferability (from one site to another), balancing benefits in blue spaces (private interest v public rights).

MaREI PhD student Jessica Giannoumis will present on Day 3 – Thursday 6th October and her presentation will focus on ‘Unlocking blue growth: Coastal managers role in balancing dialectic tensions of environmental protection and economic development’
