Hannah Daly is a Professor in Sustainable Energy and Energy Systems Modelling at UCC. She leads research at the “science-policy interface”, using energy systems modelling to examine the options and challenges for rapid decarbonisation of Irish society. She writes a column for the Irish Times – At a Time of Climate Crisis – and engages deeply with Irish policymakers, in particular on meeting national carbon budgets on the pathway to “net zero”.
