Overview

Prof. Dowling currently serves as Director of the I-Form (Advanced Manufacturing) SFI Research Centre. He has over 30 years’ experience in materials science, specialising in 3D printing and plasma treatments for the surface modification of materials. He has published over 175 papers and 13 book chapters. Denis has received the UCD Innovation Award (2012) and the Institute of Materials Finishing (IMF) Gold Medal Award (2013).
