OVERVIEW 

Dr. Varghese works in the Enterprise Ireland funded DTIF project SEMPRE. His expertise in geotechnical engineering and he assimilates this expertise with structural engineering and offshore renewable energy demands to de-risk this sector. He received his PhD from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology – Madras. He currently works in the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, University College Dublin in Prof. Vikram Pakrashi’s group. Ramon is also a member of the UCD Energy Institute.

 CURRENT ACTIVITIES

Dr. Varghese is investigating new designs, analyses and insights into offshore wind turbine foundations. He collaborates with several companies and institutes around the world and strives to translate research into practice.
