OVERVIEW 

Siobhán is a Research Support Officer at MaREI and a graduate of University College Cork (PhD). 

CURRENT ACTIVITIES

She is currently working as the Project Manager on a European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) service contract to provide training and knowledge transfer for the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) and Copernicus Atmospheric Monitoring Service (CAMS), both entrusted to the ECMWF.

BACKGROUND

Siobhán has a PhD in Nutrition from University College Cork. She worked for several years as a lecturer and researcher at the University of Glasgow before taking a career break to raise her family. More recently she completed a Diploma in Climate and Sustainability from University College Cork, as well as a Certificate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute. She has over 16 years’ of experience working on research projects including in the areas of circular economy, agricultural wastewater management, and production of sustainable animal feed, as well as in human nutrition, vitamin D and health. She has worked in various roles on EU funded-research projects including as a Post-Doctoral Researcher, Dissemination and Communication as well as in Project Manager Roles.
