STEM South West Expo 2023

For students, parents, guardians, teachers and careers guidance counsellors looking to learn more about STEM careers.

The event takes place at Cork City Hall and will feature a talk by Dr Paul Deane from MaREI entitled ‘How Science can help us make sense of the World’. 

Paul is a Senior Lecturer in Clean Energy Futures in UCC and a fellow at the Payne Institute, Colorado School of Mines. He is one of the top 5 most cited scientists globally in his field of energy modelling.  He has extensive experience in both commercial and academic research on the energy futures and is a regular contributor to Irish media on energy and climate issues.
