The vision of Entrepreneurship @ MaREI is to facilitate and support the entrepreneurship and innovation activities of everyone associated with MaREI. This includes our industry partners, research community, students and start-ups.

This support is tailored to the needs of each group and bespoke solutions are sought to deliver maximum value. We have strong connections and partnerships with local, national and international organisations and together we facilitate support in entrepreneurship and innovation activities.

Entrepreneurship @ MaREI also recognises the potential for collaboration across the MaREI community and actively encourages this through events and facilitated introductions where appropriate.

Description

Entrepreneurship @ MaREI is an innovation and collaboration hub for businesses involved in, or with an interest in, the Marine Sector.

The Entrepreneur Ship is an on-site facility available to a select number of eligible businesses. It is the only sector-specific business incubator in Ireland and attracts both Irish and International start-ups and multinational companies interested in exploring business opportunities in/from Ireland.

The Marine Sector is broad and includes technology relating to; robotics, sensors, big data, advanced materials, internet of things, autonomous systems, advanced manufacturing, marine renewable energy, shipping and logistics, energy management, marine biotechnology, oil and gas, and ICT to name a few.

Management of Entrepreneurship @ MaREI is funded by Enterprise Ireland.

Entrepreneurship @ MaREI and The Entrepreneur Ship offer solutions for start-ups and larger more established businesses in a collaborative, innovative environment. The offer includes;
