OVERVIEW

Haresh is pursuing a Structured PhD in Mechanical Engineering at NUIG under the supervision of Dr. Rory Monaghan. His initial work focuses on developing Techno economic model for Carbon dioxide Capture and Transport in Ireland. This project will help Irish industrial emitters of Carbon dioxide to plan on their emission reduction goals in the future and tackle capital risks involved.

 CURRENT ACTIVITIES

His current work involves understanding the emission conditions in Ireland and possible infrastructure for CO2 transport within Ireland.

BACKGROUND

Haresh is a Mechanical Engineer from Sri Lanka. He got his Bachelors Degree from the University of Ruhuna, where he was honored with the Gold medal for best performance in Mechanical Engineering. He also served at the Prime Minister’s Office of Sri Lanka for policy development specially for areas under Engineering and Entrepreneurship.
