MarineSABRES and DOORS featured on LifeWatch ERIC’s LifeWatching Science Channel

A new playlist on LifeWatch ERIC’s LifeWatching Science Channel is live, featuring video content about MaREI projects MarineSABRES and DOORS.

Marine SABRES is an EU-funded research project that brings together 21 research partners to restore marine biodiversity and support a sustainable blue economy by increasing the uptake of ecosystem-based management in Europe. To make ecosystem-based management more achievable and implementable, we need to comprehensively study and analyse marine social-ecological systems. Marine SABRES is therefore co-developing and testing a simple socio-ecological system in collaboration with local people in three European marine regions: the Arctic Northeast Atlantic, the Tuscan Archipelago, and Macaronesia. DOORS (Developing Optimal and Open Research Support for the Black Sea) is a €9m EU research project that links citizens, science, and industry for critical Black Sea regeneration, stimulating a new wave of ‘blue economy’ opportunities. It brings together the best expertise and technology from 37 institutions from the Black Sea region and European countries to address the human and climate change impacts in the marine ecosystem.
